Jones Walker was a sponsor of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana's Annual Gala, "Under the Mayan Moonlight," held June 20 at the J.W. Marriott in New Orleans. The event honored Jose S. Suquet of the Pan-American Life Insurance Group as Business Leader of the Year and G. Frank Purvis, Jr. of the Pan-American Life Insurance Group with the Lifetime Achievement in Business Award.

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana, formed in 1984, is a nonprofit organization committed to creating and facilitating a business climate within the Hispanic community to result in economic development and progress for Louisiana. The organization is also dedicated to the expansion of trade relations between the state of Louisiana and Latin America.
