Jones Walker was a sponsor of The Young Leadership Council's 2009 Role Model Awards Gala, held August 23 in New Orleans. Since 1986, the YLC has highlighted 25 Role Models, selected by a committee comprised of past Role Model honorees and members of the YLC's Board of Directors.

Role Models are noted for promoting a positive attitude and an unyielding desire to enhance the quality of life in the community; striving to unite the community in collaborative efforts for future prosperity; serving as exemplary role models to young talent in the community; taking an effective and vigorous leadership role in the community; and/or making significant contributions in their specific fields of endeavor.

Managing Partner William H. Hines was honored as a Role Model in 2002, and partner Janice Martin Foster received the honor in 2007.
