NEW ORLEANS–Jones Walker LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Alex N. Breckinridge, V as special counsel in the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Compliance & White Collar Defense Team and practices from the New Orleans office.
Mr. Breckinridge focuses his practice on securities and enforcement matters, securities litigation, corporate governance litigation, and complex commercial litigation. He has experience representing financial institutions, broker dealers, investment companies, and investment advisors and their boards of directors, as well as public companies and their boards of directors and officers. He has tried cases in state and federal courts and represented clients in enforcement investigations conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA"), and other government self-regulatory bodies. He has also assisted in conducting internal investigations.
Mr. Breckinridge earned his juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
