NEW ORLEANS—The firm is pleased to announce that Julia H. Terry has joined the firm as a special counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group. She will practice from the firm’s New Orleans office.

Prior to joining Jones Walker, Ms. Terry served as Vice President and Underwriting Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company’s National Commercial Services (NCS) Division in Atlanta. She has been practicing law since 1991 and is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Mississippi. From 1991–2005, Ms. Terry was employed by law firms in New Orleans and Jackson, Mississippi, practicing primarily in the areas of commercial real estate, asset based lending, and general business transactions. Prior to starting her legal career, she worked for AmSouth Bank.

Ms. Terry received her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor of Comments for the Mississippi Law Review. She also has an M.B.A. from Millsaps College and a B.A. in English Literature from Wheaton College.
