Brett Venn, a partner in the Litigation Practice Group, presented at the Louisiana State Bar Association’s CLE During Jazz Fest! titled Trial Mastery: Building a Case from Voir Dire to Verdict on April 24, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his presentation "Jury Selection Secrets: The Art and Strategy of Voir Dire," Brett discussed theories and best practices, as well as recent appellate court rulings. He also addressed the voir dire process in the recent federal jury trial in which two New Orleans attorneys were convicted for orchestrating a years‑long scheme that staged car crashes with 18‑wheelers to obtain fraudulent insurance payouts.
