Jonathan R. Katz, a partner in the Tax & Estates Practice Group in the New Orleans office, recently spoke at the Greater New Orleans Inc. "GNOthinc" speaker series. Mr. Katz's presentation, "How to Respond When Opportunity Knocks," focused on the tax and structural aspects of the new Opportunity Zone program that allows taxpayers to defer and eliminate gains associated with the sale or exchange of property.
