Tracy E. Kern and Laurie M. Chess, both partners in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, successfully defended a firm client against claims of discrimination during a five day trial in Idaho. In the case, a former employee of the defendant asserted claims of gender discrimination, gender based harassment, and retaliation arising out of her employment and subsequent separation from the company. After all evidence had been presented by the plaintiff, Ms. Kern and Ms. Chess made, and were granted by the court, a motion to dismiss all of the alleged claims, thus negating the plaintiff’s seven figure demand.
