On May 13, labor and employment partners, Sid Lewis and Tom Hubert, presented the "Writing the Employee Handbook in Louisiana" seminar held at the Hotel Inter-Continental New Orleans. Topics discussed included whether to have an employee handbook, disclaimers, acknowledgments, what to say about benefits and compensation, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and addressed how to develop effective procedures for discipline and termination. Attendees were human resource professionals, business owners, business managers and attorneys.
