New Orleans partner Lewis McHenry was quoted in the Jan/Feb 2006 Volume of Law Firm Inc. The article is titled “A Long-term Commitment,” and examines the topic of relationships between a law firm and its landlord. McHenry was quoted on the effects of Hurricane Katrina: “Nobody has been through what we’ve been through . . . Our courts are still generally closed, so we are all operating off our own interpretation of the law—the general consensus as to how large commercial leases should be handled . . .With Katrina, that didn’t simply mean the mayor lifting the order to stay away. . . It meant that you had potable water in the building, and adequate water pressure, which we didn’t have for a long time.”
