Partner Mike Magner and associate Marion Strauss, both on the firm's corporate compliance and white collar defense team, authored the article "Seaman's Manslaughter" published in the May 2024 issue of the Marine News magazine. In the article, Mike and Marion review key provisions of the Seaman’s Manslaughter statute, which criminalizes misconduct, negligence, inattention, fraud, connivance or violation of law that results in the death of another. They also covered how maritime leadership should respond to an incident and cooperate with investigators in a manner that can protect their rights and interests.
