Matt McDonald, a partner in the Mobile office, has been elected president of the Alabama Law Foundation (ALF), the only charitable, tax-exempt organization affiliated with the Alabama State Bar and the designated recipient of interest from all Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA) in Alabama. ALF is composed of several separate programs, each providing ways for lawyers to improve their profession and their communities. The foundation makes annual grants to organizations that provide legal aid in civil cases, for projects that improve the administration of justice, and for law-related education.
