BATON ROUGE, La.—Jones Walker is pleased to announce that Michael K. Leachman has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group's Intellectual Property subsection. He will work from Jones Walker's Baton Rouge office.

Mr. Leachman joins Jones Walker after three years of serving as an associate at Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway APLC in Shreveport, La. While at Cook Yancey, he focused on both commercial litigation and intellectual property matters.

Mr. Leachman received his juris doctor degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, in 2005. At LSU, Mr. Leachman was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and served as a Volume 65 Senior Editor from 2004–2005. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2002.
