Asher J. Friend, a partner in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group in the New Orleans office, will speak at the Southwestern M&A and Private Equity Forum on June 16, 2015, in Houston, Texas. Mr. Friend served on the panel, "Negotiating Cross Border Transactions," which discussed the importance of assembling the right team, structuring considerations, managing "cultural" differences between risk allocation practices in different jurisdictions, regulatory challenges, bribery and corruption concerns, and foreign GAAP considerations.
