Julia Banegas, special counsel in the Maritime Practice Group and a member of the maritime regulatory team, presented during the North Atlantic Alliance Association’s (NAAA) 2025 Annual Meeting on May 15, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Her presentation addressed key maritime regulatory developments, including recent Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) actions, tariffs, FMC regulations — such as unreasonable refusal to deal, carrier automated tariffs, co-loading, and D&D invoicing — and Section 301 US Trade Representative fees on Chinese vessels.
