Shawn Daray, an associate in the Tax Practice Group, presented "Offshore Wind – Recent Developments, Developing Trends, and Inflation Reduction Act Incentives" at the LSU Journal of Law and Energy Resources virtual symposium, "Congressional Action in the Energy Transition" on January 27, 2023. Shawn provided an overview of the latest trends in the offshore wind industry, the current offshore wind energy leasing structure as modified by the Inflation Reduction Act, and the associated tax credit incentives available to construct and operate offshore wind energy-producing facilities.
