Sid Lewis, a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group, and Tim Brechtel, a partner in the Tax Practice Group, served as presenters during the Netchex Netconnect 2022 virtual conference. Sid presented “Policies, Payroll, and Leave, Oh My!” which gave an overview of important policies to have in place to protect employees and the company, common pay violations, and how certain leave rights interact with other employee protections. During his presentation, “ERISA Retirement Plan Fiduciary Update,” Tim provided an update on key trends seen in recent lawsuits against employers and individual fiduciaries, fiduciary best practices, and actions to take to help employers avoid being the next target.
