On September 8, 2005, Miller Hamilton closed a $28,000,000 refunding for the Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Prichard. The Board has been laboring under a consent decree arising from various problems with its system leading to environmental damage. As bond counsel, the firm worked for over a year and a half to help the Board work though its current problems and come up with enough money to bring its system into compliance with the consent decree and avoid further environmental damage.
