Several members of Jones Walker's State and Local Tax Team spoke at the State and Local Tax Seminar hosted by the New Orleans Chapter of Tax Executives Institute, Inc. ("TEI") on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. William M. Backstrom, Jr. teamed with Andrew Robinson from Deloitte to give the presentation titled, "Multistate Tax Update: Developments, Trends & Hot Topics." Kimberly Lewis Robinson presented, "Louisiana Tax Update," and John F. Fletcher gave the "Mississippi Tax Update." Jesse R. "Jay" Adams, together with Andre B. Burvant, gave a presentation titled, "Louisiana Procedures & Compliance - Issues & Traps." TEI is the preeminent association of in-house tax professionals worldwide whose members are accountants, lawyers, and other corporate and business employees who are responsible for the tax affairs of their employers in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity.
