On December 6, at the annual meeting of the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers held in New Orleans, it was announced that New Orleans litigation partner Rick Schroeder was elected by statewide ballot as an at-large member of the board of directors. Mr. Schroeder has served during the past two years as the LACDL's chairman of the Federal Defense Committee, and last year won the LACDL's President's Award. Recently, Mr. Schroeder was selected, along with Judge Ginger Berrigan, Baton Rouge criminal defense attorney Jim Boren, and New Orleans attorney Mike Fontham, to coach LSU's 2004 Criminal Justice National Trial Team.
