Krystal Pfluger Scott, a partner in and co-leader of the firm’s energy and natural resources litigation team, and Ewaen Woghiren, an associate in the Litigation Practice Group, authored the article “Cybersecurity in the Midstream Oil and Gas Sector: Where Are We, and Where Do We Go from Here?” published in the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association’s publication LOGA Industry Report on the findings of the Jones Walker 2020 Midstream Oil and Gas Cybersecurity Survey. Krystal and Ewaen highlight the key findings from the survey and explain that executives and cybersecurity leaders are aware of general cyber vulnerabilities but have not taken comprehensive action to prevent and strategize. They also outline best practices to help midstream oil and gas companies better protect themselves against cybersecurity threats.
