Tim Brechtel and Alex Glaser, partners on the firm’s employee benefits team in the New Orleans office, gave a presentation on May 9, 2023, to Plan Simple Financial Partners, summarizing impacts of the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022. This is the fourth presentation on the act that Tim and Alex have given to various groups, detailing how it provides opportunities to attract and retain employees as well as new obligations it imposes on plan sponsors and administrators. The presentation also covered pitfalls that can arise from delayed implementation. Alex also did a solo presentation to a group assembled by Morgan Stanley and Gilsbar, on May 18.
