Jones Walker attorneys Will Baldwin and Cindy Muller each moderated panels during the Business Network for Offshore Wind's 2023 IPF Conference in Baltimore, Maryland from March 28 and 30, 2023. Will, leader of the maritime transactional team and co-leader of the offshore wind initiative, co-moderated the panel "Offshore Wind and Green Hydrogen Production: Alternatives for Maximum Energy Offtake” which focused on the state of offshore green hydrogen production and its synergies with offshore wind in the US. Cindy, leader of the Houston office and co-leader of the offshore wind initiative, participated as moderator on the panel "Three Sheets to the Wind – Allocation of Risk in Offshore Wind Contracts” which explored how inflationary pressures are increasing pricing for offshore wind, how the current contracting model is placing considerable risk on contractors in the US, and the need for a more robust and sustainable approach which better allocates risk along the supply chain.
