Jefferson R. Tillery and Edward J. Koehl, Jr., both partners in the firm's Admiralty & Maritime Practice Group in the New Orleans office, participated in a conference sponsored by the Louisiana Association for Justice ("LAJ"). The conference titled, "High Stakes on the High Seas: A Maritime Law Conference," featured several maritime attorneys from across the south. Mr. Tillery presented to an audience comprised of federal judges, maritime seaman, defense lawyers, and maritime experts. His presentation was titled, "The McCorpen Defense Shield and Sword." Mr. Koehl prepared a paper titled, "Willful Concealment of a Pre-Existing Medical Condition—The McCorpen Defense." The seminar was held on Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans.
