The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued Emergency Permitting Procedures for the authorization of work in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.  This authorization is applicable to local, state and federal agencies within the Corps' Mississippi River Division, and has been extended to utilities and other entities, including natural gas transmission systems.
