Will Baldwin, a partner in the Maritime Practice Group and co-chair of the firm's offshore wind initiative, moderated the panel "U.S. Offshore Wind - Investing in Vessels and Infrastructure for Renewable Energy" at the Marine Money 2021 New York Ship Finance Forum on November 18^th. Will led the panelists in a discussion focused on the Offshore Wind industry and the US goal of achieving 30 GW by 2030. The panel's wind-focused discussion highlighted capital sources for newbuild vessels, investment opportunities for new and retrofitted vessels, port infrastructure development, and the interplay of the feeder vessel model and the US flag Wind Turbine Installation Vessel model for construction of an offshore wind farm.
