R. Patrick Vance, a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the New Orleans office, was recently elected President of the Board of Directors of Southeast Louisiana Legal Services ("SLLS"). SLLS provides eligible low-income people free legal aid for civil issues, such as government benefits, family law problems, predatory lenders, consumer law, and housing disputes. The staff of SLLS is comprised of more than 100 lawyers in six offices who serve clients in 22 parishes in Southeast Louisiana.
