R. Patrick Vance, a partner in the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the New Orleans office, participated in the keynote panel presentation at the 86th Annual Meeting of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges ("NBCJ"), held in San Diego, California, on October 24, 2012. The presentation focused on the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court case Stern v. Marshall on bankruptcy court jurisdiction and was titled, "Stern v. Marshall: How’s That Working For You?." Co-panelists included Honorable Elizabeth E. Brown, a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge of the District of Colorado, and Professor Alan N. Resnick of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
