Litigation chair and bankruptcy attorney Pat Vance was quoted in the January 9 edition of Electric Power Daily regarding Entergy New Orleans and a granted extension to file a plan of reorganization with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Orleans. Vance, who represents Entergy in the bankruptcy proceeding, was quoted saying, "It's premature to have fully formulated a plan of reorganization. Several issues must be resolved before a plan can be completed. The company needs to determine how much it will receive from its insurance companies to cover the destruction to its electricity and natural gas facilities and it needs to determine if it will recover some of the cost of repairs from the federal government. It could be several more months before we have a handle on that. Both issues could have a significant impact on the plan."
