R. Patrick Vance, a partner in the New Orleans office and leader of the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group, was a panelist during a program held on October 8, 2018 at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. The panel included Chief Justice Bernette Johnson, Professor Bob Lancaster, Professor John Devlin and two LSU Law students. Mr. Vance spoke on the role of the private bar, as well as his role as past president of Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS), in providing civil legal services to the indigent. Mr. Vance has served as co-chair of SLLS’s 50th Anniversary Committee, which has made presentations at the Louisiana Supreme Court and Louisiana’s four law schools in support of civil legal services and pro bono work.
