Brett Venn and Davis Williams, attorneys in the Litigation Practice Group, presented the CLE "Jury Selection Secrets: The Art and Strategy of Voir Dire" during the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) Trial Mastery: Building a Case from Voir Dire to Verdict Seminar on April 25, 2025, in New Orleans. Brett and Davis shared best practices for selecting a jury and discussed trends in federal and state court appellate rulings regarding jury selection. Additionally, they addressed the voir dire process in the recent trial in which a North Dakota jury ordered Greenpeace to pay more than $660 million for its role in protests against the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline.
