Michael D. Waters, a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Practice Group in the Birmingham office, presented during the Alabama Bankers Association's CEO, Bank Exec & Directors’ Conference on August 3, 2018. The presentation, “Issues to Consider When Preparing Your Bank for Sale,” discussed topics that bank management and bank directors should be aware of when considering a sale of the bank, including employment agreements, equity compensation and change in control arrangements, stay bonuses for key employees, insider trading of bank stock, confidentiality, and use of investment banking advice.
