Drew recently presented as part of an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Forensic and Valuation Services Section webinar on "Business Interruption Insurance Claims—Lessons Learned From Hurricane Katrina." George Panzeca of Bourgeois Bennett, L.L.C. also took part in the presentation. The webinar, which was held on December 11, 2008, focused on the need for business interruption insurance, the calculation of loss, issues associated with the calculation of loss, the claims process, and how CPAs and attorneys are increasingly being called upon to document and quantify disaster-related insurance claims.
