Carmen is responsible for executing the firm’s marketing strategy and initiatives and marketing support operations. Among other areas, Carmen oversees the firm’s website, advertising, submissions to legal directories, listings and surveys, firm and client relationship event planning (including the annual king cake project), and creation and distribution of promotional items. She also manages the firm’s marketing budget, as well as civic and charitable contributions, and handles a broad range of marketing inquiries from inside and outside the firm.

Carmen began her career as a marketing assistant at Jones Walker more than two decades ago. As her responsibilities at the firm grew, she continued to pursue educational opportunities, including earning an MBA from the University of New Orleans. She is a member of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) and has earned certifications in post-crisis leadership and modern management tools. Carmen’s deep knowledge of the firm’s institutional history as well as her experience with rapidly emerging marketing tools and technologies have made her a go-to advisor for firm leaders, practice groups, and individual attorneys seeking to grow and expand their practices.

Committed to inclusion, Carmen assists the firm’s Culture & Inclusion Committee in working to achieve the firm’s goals in supporting attorneys and staff from all backgrounds.
