Prior to joining Jones Walker in 2009, Doug was a name partner in the Lafayette-based firm of Longman Russo. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of oil and gas exploration and production, Doug has litigated oilfield, maritime, products liability, and environmental matters.

Doug has litigated matters involving well blowouts and drilling rig accidents; down hole failures and loss of production claims; royalty and allocation claims; oilfield contamination and remediation claims; marsh loss and subsidence claims; and permitting and regulatory matters.

His clients range from oil and gas exploration and production companies and service companies to manufacturers. Admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas, he has litigated in numerous other states, including New Mexico, California, Wyoming, Alaska, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
