Jeremy
Branning

Position
Partner
Office
Pensacola

Jeremy Branning is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group, where he focuses on representing clients in complex and high-exposure matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida.

Jeremy is a seasoned trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience representing clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including business disputes such as breach of fiduciary duty and other ownership-related matters, noncompete and restrictive covenant enforcement, professional negligence, insurance coverage, products liability, mass casualty events, and real estate claims. He has tried cases before judges and juries in state and federal courts across the entire state — from Key West to Pensacola — and maintains an active appellate practice that includes oral arguments before relevant appellate courts. His litigation experience also encompasses matters in the aviation, maritime, pharmaceutical, and professional-services sectors.

He has particular depth representing healthcare providers, whom he counsels on a wide range of litigation, compliance, and liability matters. Jeremy advises physicians, physician groups, and other healthcare businesses on issues including corporate practice of medicine requirements and inter-owner disputes, helping clients navigate the legal and regulatory complexities of operating and growing a healthcare enterprise. He also represents professional services providers in connection with compliance and liability matters, drawing on his understanding of the regulatory frameworks that govern licensed professionals in Florida.

While Jeremy is an accomplished courtroom advocate, clients often turn to him first as a trusted advisor. He works to identify and address potential problems before they ripen into disputes, providing preventive counsel that helps clients avoid litigation altogether and positions them for success when litigation proves unavoidable. As a generalist with experience across multiple industries, areas of law, and regulatory environments, Jeremy brings perspective and creativity to each new matter, providing effective counsel when disputes arise in an unfamiliar market or regulatory context. For Jeremy, strategy development is always tethered to a single guiding question: What outcome does the client actually want to achieve?

Jeremy's commitment to the legal profession is reflected in his extensive leadership roles with The Florida Bar, where he has served as the First Circuit's representative on the Board of Governors since 2018 and as a member of the Executive Council of the Trial Lawyers Section since 2016. Through these statewide roles, Jeremy has worked closely with attorneys and professionals across nearly every practice area, developing first-person relationships with leaders throughout the Florida legal community and playing a leading role in shaping the policies and guidance that help lawyers practice and serve their clients more effectively. This comprehensive understanding of both the law and the practice of law in Florida enables him to smooth the path for clients facing high-stakes legal challenges anywhere in the state.

Above all, Jeremy believes that the size of a client or matter should never determine the quality of representation. Every client receives the same level of access, communication, personal service, and connection — and the same uncompromising focus on getting the substance right.
