Lauren Rose is special counsel in the Maritime Practice Group and a member of the maritime litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution team.

Lauren’s extensive maritime litigation practice includes representing and counseling the world’s largest cruise lines and shipping companies and their underwriters. She regularly defends matters involving claims for Jones Act negligence, unseaworthiness, maintenance and cure, unearned wages, retaliatory discharge, the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, and Limitation of Liability actions.

In addition to her maritime litigation practice, Lauren resolves general litigation disputes, including insurance claims, contract disputes, and non-maritime personal injury claims.

Prior to joining Jones Walker, Lauren served as an assistant state’s attorney for Miami-Dade County, where she handled DUIs, general felonies, drug trafficking, and sexual batteries, and was a special prosecutor in the Economic Crimes Division.
