Ryan works closely with the Jones Walker leadership team, the firm's chief marketing officer, and the entire marketing and business development department to identify, pursue, and maximize the impact of innovative public relations and communications opportunities. With more than a decade of experience as a public relations executive and six years of service as a legislative staff member in the US House of Representatives, he brings clear vision, thought leadership, strong messaging capabilities, and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across platforms.

Ryan's primary areas of focus include raising the profile of the firm and its attorneys among local, regional, and national legal and industry audiences; strengthening the firm's brand; and delivering value-adding information within and beyond the firm. Among other projects, he manages the firm's content development and placement, internal and external education programs and communications activities (including public relations and copywriting/copyediting), and social media and influencer initiatives. Ryan also serves as the firm's point person for media inquiries.

With a particular emphasis on helping Jones Walker's practice groups and individual attorneys demonstrate thought leadership across regions, industries, and legal disciplines, Ryan connects attorneys with news organizations and legal and business journals across the country, provides media training and coaching with respect to interviews and other interactions with the press, and supports the development of presentations, webinars, client newsletters, and other opportunities to strengthen relationships between the firm and its growing client base. He also regularly identifies, develops, and submits award nominations on behalf of the firm's attorneys.
