Tiffany Dupree is special counsel in the Labor & Employment Practice Group and a member of the Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources Industry Team.


Tiffany represents clients in a broad range of commercial and regulatory disputes such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance, governmental investigations, and various oil and gas matters, including complex oilfield legacy litigations, disputes involving purchases and sales of minerals, rights-of-way matters, and violations of local ordinances. Known for her leadership, communication skills, and commitment to teamwork, she is also adept at analyzing complex data, synthesizing key findings, and presenting them in a clear, practical way, enabling clients and stakeholders to make confident, well-informed decisions. Tiffany plays a key role in assisting clients with responding to on-site safety and health investigations by OSHA, the Chemical Safety Board, and the US Coast Guard, as well as in defending clients in subsequent litigation.

Among other matters, she has successfully represented clients in complex oil and gas matters, post-judgment settlement, and cost-recovery efforts.

Experience

  • Obtained a favorable jury verdict for a natural gas pipeline company in a lawsuit to enforce a right-of-way and a servitude agreement.
  • Recovered settlements and defense costs for exploration and production company policyholders arising out of suits involving historical oil and gas operations.
  • Won complete summary judgment for a client in a novel suit alleging improper purchase and sale of minerals (affirmed on appeal).
  • Representation of clients in suits alleging land loss as a result of oil and gas operations across coastal Louisiana.
  • Representation of clients in numerous oilfield legacy lawsuits that seek damages as a result of historical oil and gas operations.
  • Obtained a favorable outcome for an airport in a lawsuit alleging violation of local ordinances (opposing party withdrew claim at the start of trial).
