Mark Mintz is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group, where he advises clients on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues.
Mark represents clients in a wide range of creditor and debtor rights matters, especially in the bankruptcy context, and regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in all types of cases. He has been retained by banks, international manufacturers, utilities, restaurant chains, hospitals, and mining companies, as well as participants in the maritime and oil and gas-related industries. Mark has also represented bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 7s and 11s.
Mark joined Jones Walker after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Carl J. Barbier of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Mark leads the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights team. He is an adjunct professor of law at Tulane Law School, where he teaches a class on business reorganizations.
