Jones Walker Presents Annual Labor & Employment Seminar

Jones Walker's Labor & Employment Practice Group will host its annual labor and employment seminars April 12, in New Orleans; June 9, in Baton Rouge; and October 6, in Lafayette. This year's seminars are titled "Mid-Term Congressional Elections Mean Changes, But Not Necessarily The Changes You Want," and will cover a variety of issues in labor and employment law.

The seminars will cover subjects of interest to management professionals, including:

  • Practical Tips in Handling Work-Related Accidents
  • Health Care Reform
  • New Challenges in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Enforcement
  • Protecting Yourself from Employee Theft and Unfair Competition
  • Maintaining Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Compliance in an Ever-Changing Regulatory Landscape
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance
  • Preparing for the Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Storm

Members of Jones Walker's Labor & Employment Practice Group will be on hand to discuss the issues above, as well as what businesses can do to prevent costly lawsuits and compliance violations.
