John J. Broders and L. Etienne Balart, both partners in the firm's Admiralty & Maritime Practice Group in the New Orleans office, recently assisted Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC, the largest provider of dredging services in the United States, in negotiating and executing a shipbuilding contract for an Articulated Tug & Barge Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge that, when constructed, will be the largest hopper dredge in the United States. The negotiation received attention in the national media, including The Wall Street Journal.
