Steven F. Casey and Robert Louis Walsh, both partners in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice group in the Birmingham and New Orleans offices, recently obtained a summary judgment on behalf of a generic pharmaceutical manufacturing client in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. The plaintiff alleged that his wife suffered debilitating injuries, and eventually, death as a result of side effects from ingesting the client's prescription drug product. Judge Eldon Fallon dismissed the complaint on all counts.
