Steve Casey, a partner in the Litigation Practice Group in the Birmingham office, was reappointed as Chair of the United States District Court for the Northern District’s Grievance Committee by the Honorable Scott Coogler, Chief US District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama. Steve formed the committee three years ago at the request of then Chief Judge Karon Bowdre. The committee’s role is to receive court referred grievance matters against lawyers who practice before the Northern District and to conduct in-depth investigations, and give reports and recommendations to the Chief Judge for each.
