Steven F. Casey, a partner in the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the Birmingham office, was a featured speaker during the Alabama 811 Damage Prevention Summit in Montgomery, Alabama, on September 27, 2018. The Summit, a Common Ground Alliance Regional Partner Event, is presented annually in other states including Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, and is attended by representatives of companies which have underground facilities or regularly interact with those companies.  Mr. Casey spoke on Alabama’s Underground Damage Prevention Act, the “call before you dig” legislation to an audience of representatives from Alabama Power, Spire, Kinder Morgan, AT&T, and a variety of contractors, excavators and other public utilities.
