Jones Walker participated in the 2017 Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) in Lafayette, LA as a sponsor of the Future Energy Professionals Tour and the Innov8 Acadiana Energy Innovators Pitch Challenge. In addition to the conference sponsorship, five attorneys served as speakers and presenters. Blair B. Suire, a partner in the Lafayette office, gave a presentation on intellectual property law for oil and gas companies. Other attorneys, Alex P. Prochaska, Matthew A. Mantle, Douglas C. Longman, and Kyle M. Bacon presented to the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society (COPAS) about tax, mergers and acquisitions, and coastal suits and how they relate to the oil and gas industry.
