Marc Hebert and Jeff Tillery, partners in firm's the Maritime Practice Group, and Captain Kristi Lutrell, Commander for USCG Marine Sector New Orleans, conducted a Zoom webinar titled "Legal Liabilities for Vessel Owners Arising out of COVID-19 Exposure and Coast Guard Protocols and Updates on Operations on the LMR," featured in the Waterways Journal. Marc moderated the panel; Jeff spoke about potential legal liabilities for vessel owners in the new world of COVID- 19 exposure; and Captain Lutrell gave an overview of the USCG requirements and protocols relating to crewing and safety issues. With the support of the Greater New Orleans Barge and Fleeting Association, the webinar was hosted by Jones Walker and had approximately 120 attendees from the marine and insurance industries.
