Marc Hebert, a partner in the New Orleans office, co-presented “Global Perspectives on International Trade” at the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) Week Annual Conference held December 4–6, 2019, in New Orleans. During the presentation, Marc and other panelists provided attendees with a deeper understanding on how Section 301 tariffs affect shipments and discussed general considerations for the importation of chemicals as a result of the special tariffs on Chinese-origin goods. SOCMA Week was created for professionals in the specialties value chain industry to share operational best practices, discuss industry trends, and identify solutions to issues faced.
