William W. Horton, a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Transactions Practice Group and member of the Healthcare team in the Birmingham office, recently spoke at the 25th Annual National Institute on Health Care Fraud conference hosted by the American Bar Association on May 13, 2015, in Miami, Florida. Mr. Horton's presentation titled, "The Foundations of Health Law," served as an introduction and review of the current aspects of public and private health care programs, including discussions of developing aspects of health care reform.

The conference provided an educational experience for health care attorneys, regulators, compliance professionals, state and federal prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, and qui tam relators' counsel. This event offered attendees unique opportunities to share experiences and concerns in a non-adversarial setting.
