Christopher D. Cazenave, Graham H. Ryan, and Tyler J. Rench, all associates in the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation practice in the New Orleans office, recently published an article in the Louisiana Bar Journal titled "Interstate Discovery Simplified: Louisiana Passes the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act (UIDDA)." This Act significantly simplifies the process for an out-of-state litigant to obtain discovery from a state that has enacted UIDDA. The article offers an introduction to Louisiana’s UIDDA statute and guidelines for applying UIDDA to obtain out-of-state discovery.
