Christopher M. Hinsley, Real Estate special counsel in the firm's Miami office
Michael K. McDonald, Government Relations special counsel in the firm's Washington, D.C., Capitol Hill office
Bridgit M. DePietto, Tax, Trusts & Estates special counsel in the firm's New Orleans office
Mr. Hinsley, a 1998 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, previously worked for Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in Charlotte, N.C., as a senior associate in that firm's Global Finance practice. He also has practiced real estate and finance law for several years in Miami. His background includes broad-based experience in real estate law, including financings, lease transactions, real estate development transactions, and a variety of other commercial arrangements and agreements. Mr. Hinsley has represented major institutional lenders, corporations, developers, lessors, and high net worth individuals in commercial and residential real estate transactions.
Mr. McDonald joins Jones Walker after four years of experience working as an attorney for the Honorable Gabrielle Kirk McDonald and the Law Offices of Mark T. McDonald in Houston, where he worked on matters involving international law and labor and employment law. Mr. McDonald has a broad range of experience in both public and private international law, including international arbitration, representing companies and sovereign states before international arbitral panels and international organizations, and working with clients on a number of issues related to international humanitarian and human rights law. His government relations practice also has included representation of foreign governments in their dealings with both Congress and government agencies. Mr. McDonald is a 2000 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, and a 2006 graduate of Leiden University in The Netherlands, where he received his LL.M. in Public International Law.
Ms. DePietto joins Jones Walker after four years as an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Washington, D.C., where she represented employee benefit plans, plan sponsors, plan fiduciaries, and service providers in employee benefits litigation. She is a 2005 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., where she received her Masters in Law in Taxation with honors. Ms. DePietto also received a Certificate in Employee Benefits Law. She received her juris doctor degree, with honors, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2001.
